Finally back. Hehe... Long eh? Been busy all weekdays from after OP. 1 month already. Lol. Sooooo long. Now so sian still got work attachment de reflection haven't do finish. Lol... Have to take sometime off to finish up that liao.

So back from where I last stopped was from OBS. So I shall continue from there. :P Gonna be a long long long post. Or just many long posts. Hehe... Anyway go OBS need go their "private" jetty at Punggol. Then they also have their own ferries. Think got at least 4. They earn from the fees earn until so much. Lol. So we spent quite a long time at their dunno what they call it building at mainland. Bonding activities etc. while waiting for the ferry. We were the last to leave mainland. We and our buddy group anyway. Then got read about the person our group was named after. Dunno what explorer or something. Forgot liao. The name super hard to pronounce somemore. Got 3 syllabus. Then hard to pronounce + long can kill. Lol... Then reach Pulau Ubin see the other groups doing bonding activities. We finish already. Hehe... Then still need put bag in the shed or store or dunno what lah. Is a place they store all the items used during the camp. Then need check all the things somemore. So troublesome. A lot of things lor. So sian. Then check liao still got spoilt de things. Still need exchange and wait. Then done liao need put back the things. Then close the door. The key very funny. The keychain super big. Like styrofoam like that de thing. Is porous lah. Like can float on water that kind. I think they purposely chose those kind one. Then drop into water can still get back. Won't get lost. But the whole thing cost like dunno $50 or $60. Forgot liao. So ex. If lost then need pay. Good thing we didn't lose it. But almost sia. Later I say about that.

So after that go belaying practice. Like all very simple liao. Lol. Everything like learn before during PE. So is just really revise lor. Now I like a bit regret that time back at LTC never go for belayer. So fun. Haha... But then I a bit too light lah. Belay heavy de ppl I will slide de. Lol... Need deadweight/anchor to help pull down. They have 2 different names for the same person. Deadweight is so that it will be easier to remember. Got ABCD. A - Assistant Belayer (aka Rope manager) B - Belayer (aka the person using the air traffic controller. The air traffic controller name so weird. Haha...) C - Climber (aka the guinea pig. With a rope tied to him/her. Lol... Like taking a pet for a climb on then ropes or something like that.) D - Deadweight (aka you should already know. I just said leh. Lol...)

Then we doing practice on many poles with the handles to climb up. The poles go up only then at the top got another short pole pointing towards the belayer side. It is to hold the belaying rope one. The whole pole all wood. As usual. Then the rest just common things lor. Don't remember anything memorable. At the end then got a debrief. Our instructor super funny. Got many planes fly over. Then she talking. Then when very loud she just mouth out the words. Never say anything. Then when no sound liao she still doing the same things. Very funny. Haha...

After that lunch. All bread. All our lunch I rmb is bread. Sometimes with some biscuits lor. But mostly bread. Then after that I think we start setting up tents. I think. Should be anyway. My memory is quite bad. Haha... Then pitch the A frame tent. Other groups pitch Dome shaped tent. The dome shaped tent use long long sticks to hold its shape. It looks easier to set up. But if the sticks break then that's the end of the tent. No need sleep already cause the shape is gone. Lol... Then the A frame tent longer to pitch but is more secure. As in no sticks used. Only the 2 main rods to hold up the tent. The rest is tent packs to hold it firm. But if the ground too hard must use rocks cause cannot poke the packs in. So pitch the tent took very long. We learn from instructor how to pitch the tent then pitch the rest on our own. The girls 6 ppl want stuff into 1 tent. End up at night not enough space to sleep. Lol. So sad. So the 2nd day we decided to bring all the tents out. Ok. Get back to pitching first. Lol... So end up pitch 1 tent less. Then meanwhile we split up and started cooking. The rice must cook like use 3 solid fuel, then 2, then 1. But end up need 3,2,2. Dunno why also. Anyway the need open cans. For the food. Got meat cans and veg cans. The common types you see in stores. Like mushroom cans, mushroom soups, luncheon meat etc. Then need use jack knife to open. Then after that need do waste management. Must crush the can to save space. Then need open 2 sides. Then the other side cannot cut fully open. 1 person say must push down. I know cannot work de but just nvm. I just push. End up cut myself. Lol... On the finger. Small bit only. That's injury number 1. :P Then cook cook finish liao eat eat. Then see instructor to check the pots etc see clean or not. Then go shower and supper if want then sleep. Sleep after they briefed us on the next few day's things that is.

Then next morning the sky haven't even bright wake up already. Then start packing tents. Then report for morning exercise. So sian. Morning exercise again. Then run run run around in circles and doing exercises. On the tarmac there got a huge H with a circle. The helipad. For emergency I think. Anyway after that eat breakfast. Then start packing for the land expedition and sea expedition. Then after that go for flying fox. Then set up very long. Go only a while. The flying fox a bit different from the labrador one. This one is reach the ground. Then need people holding the ropes to break using the tire tied to the ropes. Must like dunno what tap tap tap then will slow it down one. Then finally set up finish. All don't dare go try. I see liao fed up. I just surrender myself. Like so idoit like that. Lol... So sad eh? Anyway then the stairs up very high. So long then reach. Then need put the caribinier down. I think spell like that. Anyway is the hook thingy that hooks your harness to the rope. Then need put down mah. Then dunno why (again) I start shaking. Lol. I think become reflex action liao. LTC also like that. Actually is not afraid. But dunno why will auto shake de. Haha... Then got a small platform to lead to the jump down. Then it is sloping upwards de. But the ceiling still remain same height. End up knock my head on the ceiling. But got wear helmet so nvm. Then must hold the small handle. My hand just nice fit through. Very tigh fit though. Then wait for the commands to clear for flying etc. Then ok liao instructor just check again then I took a few deep breath then just jump off liao. I already mentally prepared le. So not afraid anymore. Is just enjoy or get it over and done with. Lol... Then slide slide slide down. Then the brakes they dunno how to control yet. After that they said they were holding the rope then release and tap. It was supposed to let it run first then tap tap tap one. So end up I got very hard stopping. Then stop very far away from the supposed to be landing de sand pit. The landing so hard my glasses almost flew out. But I used the old specs with spec hook so still ok. Just slight off. I think I really like guinea pig like that. Lol. But I think I'll rather be the guinea pig then someone else later become guinea pig. Hehe... At least I first then won't be so nervous after that liao. So the rest need a long long time to clear... Supposed to do abseiling one. But end up not enough time. So never go do. Just debrief and eat lunch. The buddy grp even more late. Lol. Then during flying fox a friend got fever need go home. Then cause all the watches put in the medical pouch. So I took it and run down lor. Pass the watch to him then I walk him back to the instructor hut. He also going UQ one. So end up he just get a longer break before going UQ. So sad so fast leave. But at least got some rest bah. OBS superrrrrr tiring. Lol...

Then pack pack pack stuff then go down to the OBS camp 2 de jetty. I think camp 2 bah. Forgot le. Anyway is our own camp one. Then load the things onto the speedboat that is going to follow us. Then we go carry the tri-yaks to the water there. Kayak is 2 person. So triyak is 3 person lor. Lol... Anyway here comes injury no 2. Need carry the triyak down then flip it over then carry to jetty mah. It's stored upside down on racks. Then while carrying it down the whole thing flip. Didn't know why. Then my left hand index finger somehow got stuck between the triyak and the wooden rack. The triyak just slipped and my finger got cut by the wood lor. Then the whole piece of skin came out. A small bit bah. But like quite deep. Then bled. Then got people in charge of medical mah. So I just told them lor. Last time the can cut nvm cause no need get into water. But now need so no choice. Else later infection. So they told me to find instructor. Then end up instructor tell me go find them. Lol... Anyway she go help me clean the wound and put the bandage. Then use tape to go round and round. from middle section of the finger till the lower one. End up look like big wound. Lol. Then after the whole expedition I took off the bandage. Was last night of camp. I took off only the tape first. End up cause suntan mah. Then see got 2 colours. Lol... Only that finger got. 1 part suntanned 1 part not. So funny. That is the starter. Lol... Later got more funny one.

So go kayak must learn the what side what side. I forgot all liao. Dunno what port and starboard. Lol... No use for me lah. I don't aspire to be a sailor or even do anything ship like thingy for leisure. I would like to but no time and money. Lol. Then must do a flip and get out and get into the kayak. Done before and can do again. Lol. Then must take turns do that. Very fast then finish liao. But before that and before all the starboard thingy we got into water and test the life vest. Then play what squeeze hand then splash water game. The first to feel the squeeze gets to splash water on the opponent. Then end up our side lose. Lol... Keep splashing. My specs dunno why get water then cannot see de. So sad. Then after that do the flip flip of kayak. Then we set off for the 1st small campsite away from the main campsites. Then during the flipping they got food still in their life vest. Some got open one. Lol... So sad ending for the food. Wet with sea water. Dirty sea water somemore. Lol... Then before start kayak can see liao. So short. Then after a while reach liao. Maybe I kayak too hard liao. Then it move very fast. But not fast enough to be 1st kayak lah. Just like 4th-5th. But end up still 1st to reach shore. So sad it landing side ways. Somehow. I think we spin over. We was facing shore. Then turn turn back facing already. End up overshoot. Haha...

Then logistics de stayed back with forgot what group. I think is safety. To "park" the kayaks. Then the rest go carry the bags from the speed boat to the shore. All bag very heavy. My bag all is food cans and maggi mee instead. >.> Heavy sia. Anyway then very difficult to take up to shore cause it is quite steep. Somemore the bags so heavy. Haiz... But done liao need pitch tents. The ground is hard and dry (good thing else we sleeping in muddy places) so we have to use rocks instead of tent packs. Quite hard to do cause the rocks if choose too light one will slip. Then heavy ones not a lot left. Sooooo finally got the tents up and started cooking. So end up I think I stayed with pitching. Then they cook cook we pitch pitch. Midway got briefing for seperate committees. Then they told us toilet is the beach. There got lightsticks. If taken means someone there. At most 2 person at 1 time can go. No public toilets there. Lol. Then eat eat liao the cooking de ppl want me flatten their cans again. Sad eh? I have to do 2 sides. So flatten flatten flatten. Quite difficult cause is quite dark and the cans very sharp. Good thing never got cut. Then eat already go sleep. I was the last one to change from wet to dry clothes cause they all kept me busy. Sad life eh? Keep crushing cans. Lol. That's my job for OBS. Really. Then got sentry duty. Need partol see if the kayaks stolen and make sure no one comes steal thingy. Lol. Then I doing 2nd last shift. Then the last shift is volunteer one. Someone volunteer already. But I go wake him up cannot wake. End up I also do the last shift. Lol... 2 continous shift. Haiz...

Then morning wake up them up and they cook ovaltin. I think spelt like that bah. Then pack the tents. And eat white bread with ovaltin. Soaked in ovaltin of course. As long a soak as you like. Then eat finish liao briefing and go for land expedition. Tons of ants on the campsite. My bag all food somemore. >.> Die. Lol... Good thing I manage to swipe out all the ants. I think all anyway. Actually is just most. They are red ants somemore. Lol... Got pacers and time keepers and sweepers and navigators in the expedition. I end up being time keeper. Cause I got watch. Lol... Weird life I have at OBS. Anyway then we set off. Tried to take shortcut. It kinda work. We cut through some vegetation. End up later we gone through liao the instructor told us that there's another proper road to lead to the main road from where we were walking (beach). So sian diao. Lol. At least we made it through. Then walk walk walk had a break while they checked out the location. Blah blah blah. Cut short lah. We need to go 3 checkpoints to do 3 detours. The 1st detour was to put the stick down with our fingers holding it. No one is supposed to let go of it. But we cannot hold. The pole rest on our finger one. Something like that lah. Then end up cannot pass. Add 1 checkpoint. Sooo sad. Then 2nd is juggle rocks. We must throw the rock from our hand to the person at the side to catch. Everyone needs to form a circle and must work 3 times. Everyone must successful juggle. End up we only manage to do 2 max. That was like at the last min or so. So end up +1 more checkpoint. Soooooo sad. Then last checkpoint we kinda overshoot. Climbed all the way up to the peak of the highest hill on Pulau Ubin. The view very nice. Below is quarry. There mine stones de. Or something like that. Is mining lah. Then can see the very nice de view. Can see Malaysia also. Singapore is on 1 side. Malaysia on 1 side. Can see the industries in Malaysia. I think. From 1 of the country lah. Then we took picture. When going down then see the checkpoint. But the view not bad lah. Quite worth. Then we go down the hill. Need do 1 last detour. Dunno what tunic flip thingy. Must stand on the large large mat. Then try to flip it over. No one can step on the ground. If under 10 mins complete will minus off 2 check point. Under 15 mins minus off 1 checkpoint. End up we finish in 7+mins. So happy. We end liao. Go off to the quarry. The final end point. Need walk super far. The instructor also very tired. Then finally reached.

See another dunno what group on the other side of the fence facing the sea. They kayaked there and now stuck out. Lol. Then we debrief and setup tent then the gate opened. They started moving their things in and setting up tents. Got like total of 4 groups in that campsite there. That's facing the sea. Very nice. Then go to the quarry. Need build a raft with pipes and barrels. End up they say ours cannot survive. The buddy grp one can. Then they go try. We debrief liao then go for quarry jump. The water very clear. Haha... They say is for OBS only. It's locked and other people cannot enter. No wonder the water so clear. Hehe...

Then come back cook and eat again. Also need change to dry clothes. Again. Then they cooked a lot. Everyone must stuff. Lol... I ate last again. Cause they all want change first. Haiz... Then have to go crush cans again. They wanted me to go pitch tent one. Then after that they surrender or something. Ask me go back crush cans. Haiz... Told you that's my job at OBS... And that day no injury wor. Lol... Then they plan for sea expedition. Now only got navigation leader. 2 from each group. So total 4. The buddy groups stick together one. So got sentry duty again. This time I do with one of the navigation leader. So only 2 of us do 1 duty. With buddy grp lor. Then Malaysia dunno why got loud music. Must be some party. Lol... That was like 3am or so sia. Then after duty go back sleep again. Then morning er... pack tents and eat breakfast. I forgot what was for breakfast. I think was bread and peanut butter. Then pack some food in the life vest. And some oranges which will be placed in the "pocket" in the triyak. Can use to store stuff there one. Then need carry the triyak down to the sea. End up wait for like 1 hr for the speed boat or dunno call what to come to carry our things. Cause we need 2. 1 as safety boat and 1 as carrying stuff one. So carrying de boat was already there. But need safety one before we can set off. So took very long. Then I is with another navigation leader. In the front. So we set off first. So throughout we quite fast. But have to keep stopping cause 1 triyak too slow. The whole fleet have to wait. So we though will go very slow. So kept asking them to go faster. Then end up reach a dunno what place. No one have any idea. That was supposed to be Chek Jawa. The instructors say cannot stop there cause of the currents or something. Then the rocks make the seabed very high. If not careful will get stuck. End up we all gathered and stopped. Lol... 12 triyaks stopped when we were not supposed to do that at all. BIG joke. Lol... So the instructor come and ask then chase us and we started moving again. Then go around Check Jawa then go forward around the island again. We were from the top left side of the island one. So on the way see a few jetty. But not our campsite that one. Then finally reached. Target time was 2pm. Ambious target time was 12pm. Time reach was 12:15pm. LOL... So we were very fast. Set off at 0830. Took only 3hrs 45mins. As far as the instructors know that's the fastest time ever. The closest one was 4hr+. Like 4hrs 3omins or so. Not even close. Lol... We kayaked real fast. Haha...

Then go back liao need clean the kayaks. Quite heavy sia. Need carry back and put it back. Tiring. Then after that we do celebration jump. Jump from the jetty. Like that lor. Nothing much. There got another ladder on the jetty to climb up. Like that lor. Lol... Jump liao then come up. Then after that we need to settle lunch + pitch tent + shower. We took like 3hrs or so. Or was it 4? Forgot. Think was like 1400 to 1700. So 3 lor. Then pitch tent can finally use packs. Much easier. Haha... Then we eat liao then pitch. The girls go shower then eat then clean all the ponchos. Never used it. Haha... That's nice. But still a lot of sand. So actually was gonna end much earlier. But we asked for time extension. So the extended time was used to shower. Haha... Then after that we talked about why we took so long.

Then start planning for final dinner. Need cook something tasty and creative and nice to look at. Then another friend sick. So I took care a bit lor. As usual help them open cans. This time no crush cause after cooking and eating not much time left. Just dump all in. Hehe... So bad. Then end up cook lots of food. Not really nice bah. Maybe cause all cold already. But got maggi mee and rice lor. Curry also got. Mushroom soup make into sauce somemore. Lol... The buddy group made rice ball or something. Inside is apple. Not really nice lah. Cause very cold. Then it wasn't pack tightly. Very easily loosen already. Actually taste very bad. Lol... So after that too tired to debrief. We just talked crap. And play some games. Then go sleep already. Haha...

Next morning super funny. No sentry duty cause we back at the camp already. Everyone end up overslept. Was supposed to wake up at 5:30am. End up I wake up. See time is 6:15am. I thought report at 7am. But actually was 6:30am. But nvm. I woke up the rest. All sleep very soundly. Super hard to wake them up. Then the buddy group already packing liao. >.> Never wake us up one. Haiz...

Pack pack pack. Actually only need fold and grab. Cause we need clean later. So we grab and go back to shed/store/whatever. Then walk past instructor hut the instructor already waiting there. Ask us just to drop the stuff there. We were supposed to eat before going there. Lol... Anyway we were late 8mins. O.o Only 8 sia. We overslept like 45mins. Haha... Then see liao a few just pack in ok already. A few clean a bit then ok. So got 3 packs missing. 2 was already missing on day 1. 1 was just went missing. When I unpitch I saw it disappear. But cannot find. Then they say nvm. Now end up need go find. >.> So there end up a huge patch of grass to find something small. Really like finding a needle in a haystack. At least when you feel maybe the needle will have a sharper prick. The tent pack no have. >.> Super hard to find. End up I can only find 1. Was like back at the original place where we lost it. I think anyway. Then my friend come find also. He found 2 on the ground. People can be so careless. Lol... Then all in already then start putting the things back into the shed. Actually was missing stuff for some reason. Then appear back again. So good thing lor. No need to pay for anything. Then we sealed the shed. Haha... Then eat lunch while we were sorting. Then took our stuff to the dunno what block. Gather there for briefing. Then was debrief for the whole camp. Got time to draw stuff and write suggestions for people. Mine was very weird. 1 wrote continue doing the shit work you been doing. Lol... That refers to the can crushing. Then the negative side was like need to be more confident. Haha... I dunno sia. That I really have no idea. I chose to take a backseat at OBS and see and learn from others. I already have tons of opportunity to lead in school. So maybe like that I was thought to be not very confident lor. Haha... But the comments like all appox the same. Maybe cause they dunno what to write so just copy. Haha...

Then got cert for OBS and the OBS photos. Nothing much there. There was also survey for school and for OBS. As usual. Then after that we got a pen from our instructor with the OBS brand there and went back to Singapore. After so long finally can get back. Haha... Then got back go to the same old building to buy stuff. The T shirt quite ex. Before I went I already decided not to buy already so I end up not buying. Haha... Then after that our group went to Marina Square to eat buffet there. Kept eating meat. Lol... Then drink a lot of drinks. During OBS like stuff too much food into me liao. The buffet the time overshot le. But they see us that many people give us 2 hrs to eat. So we eat lor. Then after 2 hrs we left. Then go home.

My fork dunno go where liao. So sad. Then then funny part. The suntan. Cause kayak mah. Need wear long pants. But the long pants during kayak come up a bit. Then I lazy to pull it down again. So I left it there. Then end up suntanned to 3 colours. LOL... Light, then Dark, then medium. Very funny. Then the wound on my finger like perm scar there. Now touch still got pain de. Maybe got wood stuck in there cause got a bit of small lump. So sad. Then got a lot of mosquito bites. Become polka dotted. Lol... Weird things happen. Then back of neck also got suntanned. But I dunno until what extend. Should be still ok cause shed already. Then see mirror is quite dark. Haha...

So OBS very tiring lor. Then need pack stuff for UQ right after I came back. Which is like 1 full day rest only. Morning flight somemore. Haiz... Not much time to rest. Then my appetite gone crazy. Must eat a lot then will full. Like at least 2 servings. Lol... Sin Zhi also. But she very weird. Is can only eat very little at a lot of intevals. Lol... Even more weird. Haha... I guess I shall stop here for now. Quite late le. Actually is 2:30 already. I think I spent like 3 hrs typing this post. Haha... Must be super long.... I don't dare see... Hehe.... I'll update again soon. When I have time that is. Hehe... Bye.
